A bus driver was on his first day on the job after taking on a new role in a different town.
He stopped to pick up a child waiting at the bus stop. He watched as the boy sat down and started tapping his feet and wiggling his hands.
“What are you doing with your hands and feet?” he asked the boy.
“I’ve got rhythm, got the beat, got the rhythm in my feet,” he replied.
The bus driver nodded his head and continued on. At the next stop another young boy jumped on board. He too began tapping his feet and wiggling his hands.
When the bus driver asked what he was doing, he too replied: “I’ve got rhythm, got the beat, got the rhythm in my feet.”
The bus driver continued to the next stop where a third boy hopped on. He too tapped his feet and wiggled his hands.
“Let me guess, got the rhythm, got the beat, got the rhythm in your feet?” he asked.
“No,” the boy replied. “Got a booger on my finger and I can’t get it off.”
