Passengers try to smuggle some interesting items through their luggage, but this has got to be the most disgusting case yet.
A Chinese couple was approached by airport staff at Guandong’s Baiyun International Airport in China after it was discovered they had hundreds of live cockroaches crawling through their luggage.
According to BBC News, when the couple’s luggage was passed through the x-ray machine, the airport staff noticed that something was moving in the bag.

There was a white plastic bag with lots of black items moving inside,” security guard Xu Yuyu, told Kankan News, as reported by the BBC.
“One of the staff opened their luggage and a roach crawled out of it. She almost cried.”
When questioned about why they had cockroaches in their suitcase, the unidentified husband said they were used to make a cream for his wife’s skin condition.
It was unknown what the condition was, but officials were told “they were part of an old folk remedy. You mix the roaches in some medicinal cream and put it on your skin."
This isn’t the first time a passenger has tried to smuggle something strange into their luggage.
