When you’re on holiday, anything is possible, including – as it turns out – being able to drive around in a luxury vehicle daily without having to worry too much about the financial impact.
It seems a lot of luxury automakers such as Porsche, Lincoln and Cadillac, are offering people the chance to drive around in one of their vehicles for a monthly fee.
It’s known as a ‘subscription service’ and the cars are typically ordered and driven to an agreed destination, where you will then go through the bulk of the car’s luxurious features before being let loose.
You’ll be able to drive any vehicle you like and swap it for another one whenever you want.
Audi’s service for example is called ‘Audi On Demand’ and for as little as $130 a day you can drive around in an A3, but if you want something with a bit more grunt an R8 can be yours for around $1,200 a day.
If you want to see how it feels behind the wheel of a Porsche, you are looking at around $2,000 a month (after you’ve spent $500 setting yourself up), while a Cadillac could set you back roughly $1,500 a month.
According to Cadillac’s ‘Book By Cadillac’ website, “With no insurance premiums, taxes, maintenance and no long-term commitment, you’ll have more time to spend enjoying the ride.”
There are a limited number of areas offering the services, but if you are looking for a bit of luxury while you are on holiday, or you want to impress some friends, renting one of these vehicles could be just the ticket!
