Group a couple of hundred people in a relatively small space and things are bound to get a bit uncomfortable.
One woman was left horrified after a male passenger took getting comfortable to new heights when he reportedly took off his pants on a plane.
According to Lizzie Thompson, who was a passenger on the Air France flight from Paris to Los Angeles, the man went into the bathroom after he boarded, removed his pants, and returned to his seat in only boxer shorts.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: “The man in the seat across from me has taken HIS PANTS OFF for the flight and is just in his boxers. Flight attendants seem unconcerned. This is going to be a long flight.”
She added: “He has also removed his socks.”
The passenger’s bizarre behaviour didn’t end there, as he asked a fellow traveller who boarded with a ukulele to sing with him.
“He just shouted at a man who boarded with a ukulele (also have questions) to COME SIT WITH ME AND MAKE SOME MUSIC. Wtf is going on,” Lizzie added.
She also said that six hours in, he “got cold” and decided to put on a puffer jacket, but refrained from putting his pants back on.
Lizzie noted that a flight attendant did give her the choice of moving to another seat, but as she paid extra for leg room she didn’t want to.
“He offered to move me (which would mean losing my bulkhead legroom) but just shrugged when I suggested he ask the man to put his pants back on.”
After landing, she said the man put his pants back on.
“Finally, his pants went back on. Good news: nothing bonds a group of passengers like a man half naked in your section. Shout out to the flight attendant who slipped me extra wine and did keep checking in to make sure I was good,” she concluded.
Social media users were outraged by the odd behaviour, with one writing: “I don’t understand why the flight attendants let him behave this way! It’s super disturbing!”
Another added: “Now I’m curious what the protocol is here. Why wasn’t he asked to put his pants back on?”
And a third wrote: “This man’s behavior is absolutely unacceptable.”
However, one user didn’t see the problem, adding: “Big deal. Don’t passengers wear shorts. It’s the same.”
