17 Apr | Brisbane Spend a wonderful day soaking in the delights of cosmopolitan Brisbane, or head to the national parks and artists’ villages in the hinterland areas of the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

20 Apr | Alotau, Papua New Guinea Meet and greet elaborately dressed locals as they dance to the beat of kundo drums. See decorated Lopo war canoes at The Alotau Festival. This undiscovered gem offers crystal waterfalls and volcanic mountains.

26 Apr | Manila, The Philippines Wander Manila’s Intramuros district with its old colonial architecture. Or travel to the town of Las Piñas, and visit San Jose Church which houses the famous 19th-century Bamboo Organ. On a full day tour you’ll also see the smallest volcano in the world – Taal Volcano.

28 Apr | Hong Kong Skyscrapers glisten, junks and sampans ply the busy harbour waters and the green, dragon-crested hills of Kowloon beckon. Take in the entire spectacle and head to Victoria Peak for panoramic views or head to the shops and indulge in some retail therapy.

1 May | Shanghai, China Shanghai’s attractions are legendary, from exquisite temples and superb museums to the Bund’s elegant 19th-century European architecture. Yu Gardens, one of the most lavish and finest gardens in Shanghai with five acres of spellbinding cliffs, gorges and ponds is well worth a visit.

3 May | Busan, South Korea Amidst the serene and tranquil ancient Buddhist temples of Busan, is a bustling metropolis complete with skyscrapers, creating a starkly contrasting city. A popular attraction is the 13th-century Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, which boasts a three-story pagoda decorated with lions and statues of Goddess Buddha.

5 May | Osaka, Japan (for Kyoto) Japan's UNESCO World Heritage ancient capital has a wealth of attractions, historic castles, temples and monuments. Highlights include the magnificent Golden Pavilion with its two top floors completely covered in gleaming gold leaf and Osaka Castle, famous for its cherry trees.

6 May | Shimizu, Japan (for Mt. Fuji) A mesmerising landscape, a revered cultural history, and Japan’s most sacred volcano, Mount Fuji are just a few of the many delights beckoning you to come and explore this ancient city. Participate in a traditional tea ceremony steeped in ritual or enjoy a Geiko performance.

7 May | Tokyo, Japan (Yokohama) Experience Tokyo, an astounding city where the 21st-century co-exists with the spirit of ancient Japan. Explore the Meiji Shrine, witness the Great Buddha and see Tokyo laid out before you from the observation platform on the Tokyo Tower.
