Day 1: Fly to Fiji and land in Nadi International Airport. Our local representative will be there to meet you and guide you to the seaplane transfer to the resort. (Of course, there is a catamaran transfer, but it takes six hours and who wants that! This is half an hour tops and is simply more exciting!). Take the scenic tour of Fiji and land at the resort. Check in, unpack and unwind with a relaxing shower – your holiday has officially begun!
Swimming and snorkelling is excellent even by Fijian standards, with crystal-clear waters and shoals of colourful fish flitting about busily. We’ve thrown in a guided snorkelling tour of the island’s best snorkelling hot-spots. Then, a private picnic on a beach is organised at the drop of a hat – you will rarely find this level of friendly hospitality. While on your holiday, we recommend a visit to the Blue Lagoon Caves. Hidden below a volcanic outcrop, these stunningly beautiful caves are filled with clear, warm waters fed by underground tunnels to the sea. Also, a scuba-diving charter is a must-experience when at the Yasawas – our South Pacific Specialists can arrange that in a jiffy.
We’ve also thrown in an invitation to the weekly manager’s cocktail party. You can meet the people making the resort tick and making your holiday fantastic every day. You can also visit the island’s church and attend the moving Sunday service. On that note, why not visit the village nearby and experience age-old Fijian customs and traditions with a kava ceremony? Your free-standing Beachfront Bure is set right next to one of the many pristine white sand beaches dotting the Yasawa Island Resort. It features a spacious split-level design, with a super-kingsize bed, open-plan living space and a large porch. The ensuite bathroom is modern and features his and hers basins, vanity mirrors, indoor/outdoor tropical showers and complimentary Pure Fiji toiletries.
- If you want a proper desktop computer to get online, just use the library’s machine!
- Mobile WiFi for in-bure access is chargeable.
- The Blue Lagoon caves excursion is for 3 hours and is conducted weekly. Boat ride is approx. an hour’s journey. Entry to the caves is by donation to the local village, payable by guests directly. This donation is subject to change.
