Day 1: Fly from Sydney to Auckland and then onwards to Rarotonga. Once you step out of the customs, meet your friendly resort representative who will be waiting for you. He’ll guide you to the coach transfer which will take you to the resort. Check in, unwind with a nice shower and relax – your holiday has officially begun!

Over the next few days, choose to spend your holiday in as laidback or as adventurously as you want. There is just so much to do! You can go for marine sanctuary snorkelling tours, feeding the fish, go for island drumming & dancing lessons or learn how to wrap the pareo (that’s what a sarong is called in the Cook Islands). Musically-inclined travellers would love learning how to play the ukulele! Tip: The resort organises night snorkelling safaris which explore the pristine coral reefs and marine life of the sanctuary – it’s a must see experience!

The evenings will have the staff arrange crab-racing as well as crab-hunting events. For a more active schedule, sign up for nature walks and visiting the local village – it is an interesting insight into how the nation’s ancient culture has survived and thrived! Of course, you can also sit with a Cook Islander and learn of the many stories, lore and songs of the region. Beyond the above, there is regular cultural entertainment as well as familiar Bingo and Trivia Nights, too.

When it comes to dining, Captain Andy's Beach Bar & Grill will have you waiting eagerly for the next meal time. Well-known all over the island for its historic namesake, the restaurant offers travellers a menu of varied cuisines and tastes. From hamburgers and island fries to steaks, fish & chips, pizzas, pastas, omelettes and delectable seafood dishes – be ready for a filling meal!

Day 6: Check out of the resort, the resort representative will help you aboard the coach transfer to the international airport. Fly home safe and do return soon!

FAQs

With 15 islands, travellers will find water sports, culture, festivals, nightlife and some of the most pristine beaches across the South Pacific seas in the Cook Islands. The main island (and capital) is Rarotonga – with Aitutaki, Mangaia, Atiu, Mauke, Takutea, Manuae, Palmerston and Mitiaro – each with its own unique beauty, fun and identity. For couples, families, solo travellers and friends, there is an abundance of activities to be experienced. Explore Rarotonga’s beaches and villages, Atiu’s mountainous ranges and forests, Manuae’s thriving marine life or just laze by the clean white sand beaches of Aitutaki.

The Cook Islands have some of the clearest waters in the world. On an average day, visibility is around 50 feet to over 200 feet of shimmering seas, making it a mecca for diving, snorkelling, windsurfing and water sports. Secondly, along with a celebrated whale conservation centre, travellers can charter trips to see humpback whales on their seasonal visit (July-October) to this island destination. Aitutaki, Tongareva and Rarotonga are surrounded by some of the largest lagoons in the world. A cruise is the perfect way to spend a relaxing day amidst natural beauty of the South Pacific Ocean. Then, a visit to a village is must to experience true Cook Island hospitality. Guests will learn about arts, crafts, pearl farming, and the traditional feast. A Mitiaro home-stay is recommended for a true immersion in island life.

Pristine, uncluttered and absolutely beautiful, the Cook Islands are a dream tropical island destination!
