Standard Rooms are comfortable and spacious and feature one queen and one single bed. All rooms have private en suite, television and movies on demand.

Superior - Sails in the Desert Hotel

In the heart of Australia's Red Centre, the hotel beautifully contrasts Uluru's raw natural beauty with a luxurious outback holiday experience. Soaring white sails crown Ayers Rock Resort's Sails in the Desert Hotel, shading 228 luxury five star rooms and suites.

Day 1: Arrive Uluru - Uluru Sunset - Barbeque Dinner

On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you will be transferred to the resort (flights to arrive prior to 3.00pm).

View the sunset and changing colours of Uluru (Ayers Rock) while enjoying nibbles and sparkling wine. Continue to our exclusive venue for a delicious barbecue dinner and stargazing (weather permitting). Enjoy sparkling wine on arrival and dine on steak, lamb sausages, skewered chicken, garlic prawns and a selection of fresh salads and a tasty dessert, accompanied by a selection of wines, beers and soft drinks.

Hotel: Outback Pioneer Hotel , Desert Gardens Hotel or Sails in the Desert Hotel, Ayers Rock Resort, 3 nights.

Day 2:Uluru Morning Guided Full Base Walk - Kata Tjuta Sunset

Rise early to join your guide on the 11km walk around the entire base of Uluru. Walk from Kuniya Piti, an Uluru sacred site and hear the Tjukurpa story of the Mala Men. Next up is the Mala Walk, which includes a visit into Kantju Gorge. Continue along the Lungkata Walk and hear the story of the cheeky Blue Tongue Lizard. Next stop is the Mutitjulu Waterhole where your guide will indicate Aboriginal rock paintings. Return to Kuniya Piti to board your coach and receive a certificate of your achievement!

Travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and take in a magnificent outback sunset while enjoying sparkling wine.

Day 3:Kata Tjuta Sunrise - Valley of the Winds

Watch the spectacular sunrise over Kata Tjuta, with Uluru in the distance, from the western dune viewing area. Your Driver Guide will then escort you on a 2-3 hour walk to the Valley of the Winds. Marvel at the unique flora and admire the view of the central valley of the domes of Kata Tjuta. With views across the many domes and out into the sacred Anangu men’s area, you’ll be in awe of this natural wonder.

Day 4:Depart Uluru

Your short break concludes this morning. You’ll be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport for your onward flight (flights anytime).

Fitness Requirements:

  • Uluru Base Walk: Good level of fitness required. Lengthy 10.5km gentle walk on flat ground
  • Kata Tjuta: Moderate to good level of fitness required. Valley of the Winds can be a little challenging.
  • Shorter walks are available for those not wanting to walk to the second lookout
