Osaka has endless opportunities for discovery. Want to shop? Head to the longest Shopping Arcade in Japan. Want to eat? This city is called the “Kitchen of the Nation”. Got castles on your mind? Osaka has a grand one! Finally, relax in tranquil Ritsurin Garden on Takamatsu, and visit the heart-stirring Memorial Peace Park in Hiroshima.

Kitakyushu is a stunning seaside port filled with eclectic attractions. Climb the 31-story Mojiko Retro Observation Room to take in uninterrupted views of this picturesque city and visit one of the most unique museums in the world—the Toto Toilet Museum. Of course, it’s not all potty talk here. This region is equally known for its unique spin on two Japanese favorites—curry and ramen. Take advantage of our late stay here with a bowl of Tonkatsu Ramen or rich yellow curry paired with a crisp Japanese beer after a day of sightseeing.

Enjoy two days at sea soaking up all your boutique hotel at sea has to offer as we set sail for China. Join an overnight tour to Beijing that includes the Great Wall, Forbidden City, and Temple of Heaven. In Shanghai we dock near the historic Bund with sparkling night views of the Lujiazui District. Did we mention the pandas? You’ll get to see them at the zoo in Dalian.

Depart Tokyo at 4:30pm on Wednesday 18 Sept 2019
The world’s largest metropolitan area, Tokyo is an unforgettable experience for everyone. Tour the best ramen and sushi restaurants, visit Akihabara Electric Town to discover cutting-edge gadgets and games, and scale the Tokyo City View—a breathtaking observation deck on the 52nd floor of Mori Tower. For a change of pace, visit the Meiji Shrine to take a serene stroll along the many walking paths.

Day 2-3 Osaka (Kyoto), Japan
Two amazing cities, one unforgettable journey; that’s what to expect on your travels through Osaka and Kyoto. Take an underwater adventure through the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan and stroll through the shōtengai shopping arcades. Then travel to nearby Kyoto to discover 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Temple of the Peaceful Dragon, the Kiyomizu-Dera Temple, and the Nijo-Jo samurai castle.

Day 4 Takamatsu, Japan

Combine thousands of years of history with fantastic food and you have the vibrant city of Takamatsu, Japan. Explore Tamamo-koen Park to discover ruins, Japanese-style turrets, and more. Then visit a thatched-roof tea house to try matcha, a powdered green tea. Finally, be sure to sample Sanuki udon—a famous noodle dish—after enjoying an afternoon shopping and visiting the new waterfront.

Day 4 - Cruising The Inland Sea

Day 5 - Hiroshima, Japan
While it’s impossible to forget that Hiroshima was the site of the first atomic blast on August 6, 1945, this modern city has emerged as a thriving and vibrant port. Even still, no visit would be complete without a trip to the Peace Memorial Park. Step further back in time to visit the castle of Hiroshima-Jo, and be sure to try the city’s most famous dish, okonomiyaki, a delicious savory pancake.

Day 6 - Kitakyushu, Japan
Kitakyushu is best seen from the seaside promenade at Moji Port, with its shops, restaurants, and more. Stop by the Moji Customs Building and tour the art gallery inside, or head to the top of the Mojiko Retro Observation Room for great views of the city. Up for an eclectic adventure? Visit the Toto Toilet Museum. And foodies, be sure to try popular noodle dishes like tonkatsu ramen and yaki-udon.

Day 7-8 - At sea
Relax and reflect on your journey thus far with a few days of fun at sea. Get a behind-the-scenes look at life onboard with an Insider’s View Tour, attend a destination lecture to learn more about your next port-of-call, or try your luck at our onboard casino.

Want to really unwind? Watch the world go by and sip a complimentary drink poolside, or say “ahh” with a visit to Sanctum Spa.

Day 9-10 - Beijing, China
A blend of ancient, Colonial, and modern influences, Tianjin is an engaging city. With Beijing a short ride away via high speed train, it's the gateway to the wonders of China. Avant-garde Olympic venues are juxtaposed with the backdrop of the Great Wall, and the Forbidden City's treasures are now on full display.

Day 11 - Dalian, China
Sandy beaches, scenic coastal drives, and tree-lined streets create a relaxed atmosphere in this storied Northern Chinese port city. A laid-back reprieve from busier Chinese destinations, Dalian offers tranquil city escapes, with plenty of history around every corner. Head to Russian street, where things a little more like Moscow than Northern China.

Day 12 - At sea
Spend the day sailing in style aboard your boutique hotel at sea. Indulge in a treatment at Sanctum Spa, stay ship shape with a class at our fitness center, or lounge the day away on our sunny pool deck.

In the evening, savor inspired Italian cuisine at Aqualina, or relish in a classic steakhouse experience at Prime C. Plus, you’ll find plenty of exciting evening entertainment, from thrilling shows at Cabaret Lounge to intimate performances in the Living Room.

Day 13-14 - Shanghai, China
Head to the spectacular Shanghai Museum on the People’s Square to see ancient artifacts. Or wander Shanghai’s most iconic street, the Bund, where classic art deco buildings and the high-end stores of the French Concession almost make you think you’re in Paris. Explore modern architectural wonders like the Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai Tower, the second tallest building in the world.

Day 15-16 - At sea
This is the perfect time to experience all that your boutique hotel at sea has to offer—or to simply do nothing at all. From decadent specialty dining, to immersive lectures, to tranquil spa treatments, the choice is yours.

Shop for tasteful gifts at our onboard stores, or retreat to the Drawing Room and explore the world with our digital Inspiration Center. Days at sea are spectacular with us.

Day 17 - Hong Kong, China
With 1,200+ skyscrapers, Hong Kong is a vertical city, so for great skyline views, take a tram to the top of Victoria Peak. Better still, hop on the tram between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan for a cost-effective city tour. Head to Central for the world’s longest outdoor escalator system and the incredible nightlife of Lan Kwai Fong. For a much quieter day, take a ferry to Lamma or Lantau Island.
