Wed 06 May 2020 – Arrive Perth

Welcome to Perth! Please make your way to your hotel and the rest of your day is free to explore the city. Please let our travel team know if you would like us to arrange a transfer to your hotel (additional charge applies).

Thu 07 May 2020 – Perth & Swan River Lunch Cruise

After a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel to connect with your Swan River lunch cruise which includes a buffet of Western Australia’s abundant seasonal fresh produce as well as full bar facilities onboard.

This unique cruise is a wonderful way to see Perth and Fremantle from the water. It also gives you the opportunity to meet your fellow Travel at 60 community members who will be joining you on this amazing holiday. Upon boarding the vessel, you will be shown to your reserved table. Enjoy the Captain’s commentary and on your return journey, you are invited to enjoy the hot buffet complemented by seasonal salads, followed by a scrumptious dessert buffet.

Fri 08 May & Sat 09 May 2020 – Perth – At Leisure

Enjoy your days exploring Perth and its surrounds. Why not spend a day on Rottnest Island, where you can take a selfie with a Quokka! Fremantle is a short trip away and has a strong maritime history, as well as remnants from Australia’s convict days or you could check out the wineries in the Swan Valley.

Sun 10 May 2020 – Perth & Kalgoorlie

This morning you will be transferred from your hotel to Perth Railway Station to start your incredible journey on the Indian Pacific. Your journey from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean begins as you pull away from the platform in Perth mid-morning. Settle into your comfortable cabin and get to know the creature comforts of life onboard. Enjoy a modern Australian lunch as you glide through the picturesque rolling hills of the Avon Valley. After a relaxing afternoon onboard, enjoy a three-course dinner prior to your late evening arrival in the wild west township of Kalgoorlie.

Mon 11 May 2020 – Nullarbor Plain

Awake to the spectacular expanse of the Nullarbor Plain to watch the sunrise. Be captivated by the big blue skies and ancient stillness of the desert landscape, broken only by a mob of friendly kangaroos. Waiting ahead is the charm of the once-thriving Nullarbor railway community – now ghost town – of Cook. Sit back and relax as the train continues its trek across the longest single stretch of railway in the world. Another mouth-watering dinner is followed by relaxed conversation in the lounge before a restful night’s sleep.

Tue 12 May 2020 – Adelaide & Broken Hill

On arrival in elegant Adelaide, you have the choice of a walking tour (seasonal), a behind-the-scenes tour of the world-famous Adelaide Oval, or a coach tour of the city sights. This evening you’ll enjoy a stop at Broken Hill, Australia’s silver capital and home to a unique artistic community.

Wed 13 May 2020 – Blue Mountains & Sydney

Wake in the picturesque Blue Mountains. See the majestic Three Sisters at Echo Point and the views at Jamison Valley before completing your journey on our chartered NSW rail service (fully hosted by our staff) into Sydney Central Station. Alternatively, stay on board the Indian Pacific to travel directly to Sydney.

On arrival in Sydney, your holiday concludes. Please ask our travel team if you would like us to book accommodation in Sydney or a transfer to the airport.

• Gold Twin - a comfortable sleeper cabin featuring private en suite and upper and lower berths that convert to a three-seater lounge by day
• Gold Single - a compact sleeper cabin featuring a bed that converts to a seat by day and shared shower/toilet facilities located at the end of the carriage
• Platinum cabins are available on request. By day, your cabin is configured as a private lounge with deluxe seating, a table and two ottomans. By night, you’ll enjoy a deep, comfortable sleep as the lounges convert into a comfortable bedroom with either a double or twin beds.
