Day 1 - Board The Ghan in Darwin

Settle in to the comforts of The Ghan, relax in your cabin or mingle with fellow travellers in the Outback Explorer Lounge. Enjoy lunch ahead of your first Off Train Excursion in Katherine. In a region renowned for jaw-dropping natural assets, Katherine boasts one of the Top End’s best – the incredible Nitmiluk Gorge lies within the massive 292,000 hectares of the Nitmiluk National Park, and you have the chance to explore it from the water with guided cruise options.

Day 2 - The Ghan, Alice Springs

Your arrival into Alice Springs after breakfast provides you with time to explore the iconic town in the red heart of Australia. Your Off Train Excursion choices today include visiting the spectacular Alice Springs Desert Park and Reptile Centre, walking Simpsons Gap, and exploring the historic Telegraph Station and Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Day 3 - The Ghan, Adelaide

After completing the famous north-south crossing of the interior you will arrive into Adelaide. Check in to your accommodation before exploring the food and wine capital at your leisure.

Days 4-5 - Adelaide Stay

Day 6 - Board the Sea Princess in Adelaide

Step aboard Sea Princess and prepare for a vacation that will dazzle your senses. From the four-story Atrium to tantalising dining options, a Vegas-style casino and a variety of incredible entertainment choices, including Movies Under the Stars, you'll find a relaxing retreat that's as captivating as the places you'll visit on this grand vessel.

Days 7-8 - At Sea

Day 9 - Sea Princess, Hobart

Tasmania's capital has much in common with Sydney. Founded but a few years later, Hobart also owes its origins to the establishment of a penal colony and its natural setting is just as impressive. Seen from its fine deep-water harbour, Hobart spills over the lower reaches of the Derwent Valley as Mt. Wellington towers in the background. Much of the city's heritage is centred on the historic waterfront. North of the city stretches the vast parkland of the Queen's Domain. Many of Tasmania's other attractions are within easy reach of Hobart.

Day 10 - Sea Princess, Port Arthur

Preserved today as the Port Arthur Historical Site, this then state-of-the-art prison was designed to hold repeat offenders in isolation and hard labor. When it closed in 1877, it marked the end of a dark chapter in English and Australian history.

Day 11 - Sea Princess, Burnie

Located on Bass Strait, Burnie is Tasmania's fourth-largest city and a major port. Burnie, surrounded by prime productive farmlands is the gateway to scenic northwest Tasmania, an area rich in picturesque old villages, homesteads and historic homes. Inland lies the rainforest and wilderness of Cradle Mountain National Park, a World Heritage Site.

Day 12 - At Sea

Day 13 - Disembark in Adelaide
