Day 1: (Wednesday) Indian Pacific, Sydney

Depart Sydney aboard the Indian Pacific this afternoon and start a true journey of contrasts. As you venture beyond the city limits, settle back, open a book or enjoy the social atmosphere of the Lounge. This evening delight in a sumptuous dinner before retiring to your cabin. (D)

Day 2: (Thursday) Indian Pacific, Adelaide

Wake up with a coffee as you arrive in Broken Hill, a classic mining town. Here you can explore the beauty of this Silver City on an Off Train Excursion. The remainder of the day is spent onboard watching the passing of scenery, chatting with new found friends and indulging in a delicious lunch before arriving in the city of Adelaide for an afternoon Off Train Excursion and dinner before reboarding the train and continuing your journey west. Day 3: (Friday) Indian Pacific, Nullabor Plain

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and then marvel at the ever-changing landscape passing by your window before settling down to a regionally inspired lunch. Dinner under the stars awaits at Rawlinna; the remote and beautiful outpost that borders a little sheep station of a mere 2.5 million acres (8,000 square kilometres) (weather permitting). (B,L,D)

Day 4: (Saturday) Perth

After a restful sleep, you are greeted by daybreak and breakfast in the picturesque rolling hills of the Avon Valley as you head to your destination of Perth in the mid-afternoon after enjoying a delightful lunch. Transfer to your accommodation. (B,L)

Day 5: (Sunday) Perth and Fremantle

Starting in Perth this morning, your tour takes in all major attractions including the Western Australian Cricket Ground and Kings Park. Enjoy a picturesque drive along Cottesloe Beach, one of the most popular Australian West Coast beaches, before arriving into Fremantle. Long renowned for its eclectic mix of arty and alternative types, Fremantle’s streets buzz with the songs of buskers, the sidewalks fill with art collections and music floats out from trendy cafés and bars. Spend some time leisurely exploring historic Fremantle before cruising along the Swan River back to Perth. The remainder of the day is free for you to further explore Perth. Atop at Elizabeth Quay and the Swan Bell Tower or enjoy the comfort of your accommodation. (B)

Day 6: (Monday) Margaret River

Departing Perth, you will travel south towards the iconic Busselton Jetty, before continuing further south to the Margaret River region. Stop at the famous Bootleg Brewery to indulge in a gourmet platter lunch full of local produce and enjoy award winning beer and cider tastings. Sandalford Winery is the next stop for a chance to enjoy premium wine tastings. Travel further south to Mammoth Cave and Boranup Forest. Be awestruck by the size of the massive Karri Trees as the journey continues to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. From here you will be transferred to your overnight accommodation. (B, L, D)

Platinum Service (Twin & Double Share)
By day your cabin is configured as a private lounge with deluxe lounge seating, a table and two ottomans. By night you'll sleep easy as the lounges convert to a comfortable bedroom with either a double bed or twin beds.

Conditions: 

  • 2019/20 Advanced Purchase Holiday Package fares: must be purchased 6 months or more prior to travel and are subject to availability. A non-refundable deposit payment is required 7 days after confirmation invoice. Final balance payment due 190 days prior to travel. 

  • Late Bookings made 50 days or less prior to the train's departure date require full payment at the time of booking.

  • We also recommend that you take out suitable travel insurance to cover (as a minimum) the costs incurred if you cancel your trip.

  • Everyday & Everyday Saver fares: require a non-refundable deposit within 7 days after confirmation invoice. Please refer to table below.
